Bubba Watson's first golf lesson was ME
I had the closest to the pin on the eighth green at Port Royal in Bermuda playing with Bubba Watson. I used a five-hybrid landed and it hit the fairway but just kept going right toward the flag. It stopped just three feet away from the cup, I won the top prize for the closest approach to that particular hole.

Yes, my first lesson under the gun with a camera and fans watching. She almost made a hole-in-one. I think I did pretty good. If they were all like that I would make tons of money.
He had no idea he would be playing with me until he started reading my tweets...
“It was funny, she started Tweeting the last week about me and I was like, ‘what is she talking about,”
he said.
“I didn’t know anything about her, so I started following her on Twitter because she was following me.
“That’s how I knew I was playing with her in the Pro-Am. It’s nice to see someone of her stature come over here and love to play the game of golf and learn it late in life.
“She was walking down the fairways telling me how much she loves it and how much she enjoys learning something new.
“She played a lot better than her third time out on the course, and especially when I instructed her really good.”

I made a putt on No. 6, a 15-footer for birdie, and the shot on 8 was thrilling. I almost made a hole in one! I hit the ball to within about three feet.
I thought it was in the hole as you can tell from the pic...
Even Masters Champion Bubba Watson was impressed with that lucky shot on 8.
"That was the greatest shot I've ever seen. The greatest shot I've ever witnessed. Greatest shot I've ever coached,"
But Suzy Whaley, my golf instructor, wasn't that impressed. When Bubba asked if that was my best shot ever, she said
"it was very good."
Bubba said. "Women are the worst liars."

My first 18 holes and I'm pooped. But almost made a career shot!
I played with Suzy Whaley, my golf teacher, Ted Bishop of the PGA, Ian Baker-Finch, TNT commentator and Andy Burrows, Grand Slam Chairman.
I’m pooped because this is my first time doing 18 holes. I was with the most incredible people. Whenever I would hit a rough shot, I had an immediate clinic because I had the teachers there. Of course the scenery was wonderful.
I almost made a hole in one: more on that later.
You know what’s really impressive is the people who come out and spend the day in the sun and cheer everybody on.”
I am so surprised at how many viewers we have here. I am delighted at that. I am really grateful at the shout-outs or morning sunshine.

I'm ready (as I'll ever be) for my first golf tournament
It was a story that brought me into this game.. one of our sister companies is TNT. They run PGA.com. This as a partnership and they wanted to do a story about golf and women, so I was kind of the guinea pig. I said ‘ yes I’ll do it’. As a result of that, I love it.
They brought me in and now they can’t take me away. I’ve had a headache all weekend because of the stress. My husband keeps saying ‘have fun’.
I did make sure that Suzy Whaley, my teacher, will be in my group. I have a heads up I’ll be with Bubba Watson and he’s pretty relaxed.
I’ll be giving his run for his money . . . he’ll be driving miles up the fairway and I’ll be driving the cart! Although I don’t think they allow us a cart, do they?
This is my first time to Bermuda. As the plane landed I said to Tim, my husband, ‘look at how beautiful it is with all these white roofs, look at that water’.
From the airport to the hotel and to where we’re staying, it’s just impeccable. The beauty is outstanding and I love the British influence, the accents.
Everyone from the driver to the folks at the hotel, I have been so impressed.
I want to make sure this is not my last time.
I wanted to make this not only for a story and a golf experience but a vacation so we’re going to stay a few more days until Saturday
If the local have some good advice on where to hear some great live music, I’ll meet them there.
I didn’t realize how many viewers we had in Bermuda, there’s been lot of Twitter action.”
