Country Weekly's report on Birdland and upcoming album

She may make her living reporting the news, but last night (March 28) at New York City’s legendary Birdland club, HLN anchor Robin Meade was the story.

The namesake of Morning Express With Robin Meade premiered songs from her upcoming debut album, a collection of poppy country anthems and ballads hitting Target stores in mid-June.

And the album certainly has country cred—it’s produced by revered songwriter and Academy of Country Music Award winner Victoria Shaw, who has co-written such hits as Garth Brooks’ “The River,” Eric Church’s “Two Pink Lines” and John Michael Montgomery’s “I Love the Way You Love Me.”

The adventurous cover is set for Robin’s album as a nod to the onetime Miss Ohio’s day job, complete with a retooled opening lyric. Sings Robin, I make my living on the morning news!
