VIPs and luminaries will be honored at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Show Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center’s Georgia Ballroom in downtown Atlanta. A red carpet introduction to the governor’s reception will be followed by a seated dinner and the main tribute. The show will be televised live by Georgia Public Broadcasting to showcase the state’s broad spectrum of musical talent all in one magical evening.
I'll be co-emcee along with Monica Pearson. Posthumous inductees honored this year include:
Sean Costello,
Wally Fowler,
Eddie Horst,
Bobby Byrd and
Frank Fenter.
The awards presentation will include:
Lady Antebellum, Performer Award;
Ed Roland, Songwriter Award;
legendary blues songstress Francine Reed, Pioneer Award;
Southern rock chart topper Wet Willie, Group Award;
author and multi-talented celebrity funny man Jeff Foxworthy, Spoken Word Award;
Danny Beard, founder of Atlanta-based independent music record label DB Records and important music industry game-changer, the Non-Performer Award.
