Here's a behind the scenes fact...
...the reason I slowed down and held those notes at the end is because there’s a person directing the opening ceremonies, and he’s trying to time the end of the National Anthem to the military flyover. So as I got close to the end, I saw him telling me to stretch it out so everything would sync up. And he was right, listen below and you'll hear the jets roar overhead on those last notes...
and I had a pretty great seat at one point during the race - with the Hendricks racing team
Before the race, I got to hang with some faces you may recognize! Dale Jr. and Carl Edwards. Easy on the eyes, hey?
