Morning Express With Robin Meade Crew Helps Local Families

Every year around this time, the writers and producers of Morning Express with Robin Meade join with our Atlanta area Turner Broadcasting colleagues to "adopt" several families from a local school who need some help around the holidays. This year was no exception.
Little did we know that the money we pooled for our family would also be needed for something else. You may remember our coverage of a fire that broke out in an Atlanta school a few days ago. It turns out that is the school the kids in our adopted family attend. Luckily the fire hit early in the morning, before class, and no one was hurt. Nevertheless it was devastating to the students and faculty at KIPP WAYS Academy. They've since found alternate classrooms but we were happy that in addition to getting everything on our family's Christmas list, we were also able to help the school with some much-needed replacement supplies.
If you would like to make a contribution to get KIPP WAYS Academy back to full strength you may do so at their website: kippways.org.
From all of us at Morning Express with Robin Meade, "thank you." Just by watching you help make things like this possible. We hope that you and your family and friends have a healthy, safe and happy holiday.
